Workshops / Visits

I offer engaging in-person assemblies, readings, and workshops for primary and secondary pupils, including nursery. Virtual sessions are also available.

My workshops are active, engaging, and designed to build confidence in both writing and speaking. I focus on making poetry enjoyable and accessible—encouraging children to see reading and writing as something they can take pleasure in.

I’ve delivered workshops for a wide range of schools and libraries, as well as organisations including National Literacy Trust, Literature Wales, Poetry Together, and Wales Millennium Centre.

I’m a higher level Welsh learner and enjoy incorporating incidental Welsh into sessions. I also have a selection of Welsh-language action rhymes suitable for younger children.

Booking & Pricing

My fees follow professional guidelines from organisations such as Literature Wales and The Royal Society of Authors.

That said, many schools don’t pay the full fee.

I regularly work with schools to make visits affordable:

  • Funding can cover up to 75% of the cost - with support, workshops can cost as little as £50

  • Occasionally, fully funded visits are available

I’m very happy to help with funding applications, or to talk through the simplest option for your school.

From May to September 2026, I’m also offering a limited number of part-subsidised visits through book sales—feel free to ask for details.

I’m based in the Vale of Glamorgan and happy to travel.

Get in touch to check availability or chat through what might work best for your pupils.
