Poetry for Children

I write poetry for children of all ages. I write a lot about nature, wellbeing, and food. I have been writing poetry since 2020, and my poems have been widely published in websites, magazines and anthologies.

Fresh, my debut collection for children age 7+, contains 55 poems exploring everything from cat fleas to cloud gazing. There are poems about being left out, loss, and worry alongside light hearted poems about messy monsters and seagulls that steal your ice cream. The collection, published by Firefly Press has been fully illustrated by multi-award winning Chris Riddell OBE.

It has been described by Love Reading 4 Kids as "a truly delightful collection," and Through the Bookshelf says "the poems in this collection are really special, offering a 'fresh' perspective in their words of wisdom and delight."

The Big Welsh Rhyme Time

I have twice created an action rhyme (one in English, one in Welsh) for The Big Welsh Rhyme Time with Book Trust Cymru. A poem, video performances, and bilingual warm up activities can be seen here.
