The Den

​

The rain rattles at the window, we are safe and dry inside, 

The perfect time to build a den, make somewhere fun to hide!

Move the chairs and tables, they will be our walls,

A broom stick in the centre will help our den grow tall.

Hunt for blankets, throws and sheets, to make things dark and cosy,

A keep out sign on the side warns; Grown-ups don't be nosy!

Then in we go with torches, and treats and sweets galore,

Our magic secret hideaway, on the kitchen floor.
